Fished the reefs by Oshkosh last night from 6-8. Tryed four different reefs jigging half crawlers. No luck except my daughter came along and the weather was beautiful. No eyes or sheeps to speak of. I did see some 20lb. carp in the weeds off the end of my dock. I'm thinking of switching species unless the walleyes start biting.
Game on!

Fished the west shore reefs near Neenah last night from 6-8. Trolled the edges of the reefs with Shad Raps, Flicker Shads, and Wally Divers. S/E wind 5-10 and the chop on the water was nice. Two whities, one was 16". Five eyes 12-16", and three small sauger. Good escape from the jewerly party at my house last night and we caught fish!
Game on!

Trolled the mud south of Stevens last night. The whitebass were in thick. Could not keep them off the baits. Flicker shads, shad raps, and Salmos. Didn't matter on natural or bright baits, it was all whitebass but they are very good sized. Lot's of bugs to go with them which are annoying to say the least. My wife came along and battled them as well which was impressive! Got sick of whities and went to jig a reef at the end of the night. Had one eye and a dozen sheeps. Nice night on the water overall.

Trolled the area between wheelers, haystack, mansur between 4-8pm. Ran flicker shads, shad raps, and salmos from 40 to 80 feet back. Could not keep the whities off the lines. My friend Todd R. got a workout with me this night. Caught 4 eyes we kept, threw some small ones back, had 3 crappies, one was 14", and one perch. Threw back lots of whities and sheeps. The crappies and whitebass all had spawn in them which seems strange for this late in the year and how warm the water is.

My son and his friend wanted to go jig for a while so we tried wheelers reef with crawlers and jigs for an hour 7:30 to 8:30. Had one eye that was only 11" and lots of sheeps for the pelicans.

Trolled from blackbird to garlic on the shallow water breaks and then due east to the mud. Flicker shads 40 to 80, shad raps 80 to 100, and wally divers 100 to 120 back in deeper water in the mud. Marked alot of fish east of Garlic in the mud. Fished from 4-7 and kept 3 eyes, threw some small ones back, missed one nice eye on top of the water behind the boat, one big crappie, lots of whities, and only a few sheeps. Had some technical issues with the pads on the planer boards slipping and will replace these new.

Trolled about one mile east of garlic island all morning with my dad. Had alot of fun and the fish cooperated this morning. Had two 19, two 17, one 18, a couple 15, and several of the 12 inchers. Whities and sheeps as well. No crappie or perch this trip. It was a zoo and was hard to navigate and make turns with all the tounament boats on the water. Best baits were wally divers and shad raps from 80 to 100 back. Flicker shad were good if you want whities.

Fished from 5:30 to 8:00 tonight with Steve and Cody. Cody is an eigth grader in Hortonville and a good fishermen. Hooked a sturgeon or something large twice on the same reef, lost it both times but gave it a battle. Nothing else jigging so we went trolling. Calm winds till about 7:00 and then it was 3 footers from the southeast. Trolled east of Garlic and ended up with one 17, couple 15, and 3-4 small eyes. Ran wally divers, flicker shads, shad raps anywhere from 60-100 back, no patterns to speak of other than the boat rocking greatly. The 17 eye had a sea lamprey about 5" long fall off it in the bottom of the boat. Also had a back tag in it when I cleaned it. Will be interested to get the data on this fish. Wild night to say the least!

Trolled east of garlic back towards garlic and north past blackbird towards mansur. Not agood bite tonight. One 15 incher and several small ones. The usual whities and sheeps. Used shad raps, salmos, wally divers, flickers with no depth producing any patterns. Nice night on the water with my dad though and he had some fillets for the efforts.

Had a break in the wind around 3:30 this afternoon and decided to head out for a while before the next rain came. Tried jigging a 1/8 ounce and half crawler on Axle's reef. Had five keepers in less than an hour and called it a day before the rain started again.

Went out about 4 for the afternoon bite on axle's reef with my wife, daughter, and boyfriend. Got to the reef and someone was just leaving who had their limit and let us take over. Fished the reef for about 45 minutes with jigs and half crawlers, had two small eyes and it started to rain. The girls said head for home and we went in for supper. Came back out around 7 and fished another hour and had 10 more. Nothing big, just good eaters. Called it a night because it was raining again around 8.

Went out by myself from 6-9 tonight. Trolled crawlers harnesses all night. Ran 1/2 and 5/8 0z anywhere from 15 to 35 feet back. Ran fire tiger, purple metallic, and gold spinners with no pattern seeming better than the others. Started east of wheelers, went around the north and south end of Stevens and close to Mansurs before calling it a night. Lost quite a few with light hook sets as usual, ended up with 13 eyes, nothing big. Not one sheep or whitie which was really strange. Hope this stays the pattern but I know better. Found out I can see my new motion light on the dock from a couple miles out on the lake!!!

Went out on a small west shore reef for a half hour and got called back home for something right away. Jigging a 1/8 ounce and half crawler and the last cast before we went in I had a nice 25" eye that my wife got head first in the net , first poke. Let it go and came in. That was pretty cool. Went back out in the afternoon and trolled the area between garlic and blackbird to the east for a couple hours. Ran flicker shads and wally divers 100 to 120 back. Wally divers were the best with no color better than others. Kept two 15" eyes and threw some small ones back. Few sheeps and some whities mixed in.

Fished a small reef on the west shore in neenah from 5-8. Came in for 45 minutes for the rain to pass over. Rough after the rain with caps rockin the boat pretty good. Used the new anchor rope bungies I got at the kids wish for fish. They really help keep the boat more stabile anchored side ways to the waves. Jigged crawlers and leeches, and crawlers were best by far. Had a 19", 17", a couple of 15", and some small ones. Kept 12 for the three of us and my daughter was the champion this night. Sorry Steve! The dirty water and waves seemed to bring some better fish on the reef. Had one redhorse that was about 20" as well and numerous sheeps which the pelicans took great delight in!
