Fished the Fox River today in oshkosh, hit up the 41 bridge first to see if any smallies were around but no such luck, pulled out the Walleye fly rigs and started ripping flies down the river,  picked up 1 whitebass, made it to the RR bridge and joined the group of people casting for whities, my crankbait of luck was a rapala DT-6 its a fat bass style crankbait (a goto for LM Bass fishing for me) wound up pulling in 7 more but seen lots of fish caught from other boats. 2 biggest fish were 17"

Fished blackwolf channel again today was kinda leary after yesterdays thunderstorms what that would do to the bite. Ended the day with 4 bluegils and 4 crappie with lots of dinks thrown back biggest fish was just over 11" was even getting gils on minnows today actually caught so many fish on minnows we ran out . not sure if we caught the end of the spawn or beginning im thinking end cause we caught a few largemouths also.

Fished Lake Bernice for the season opener targeted bass caught 3 shorts and 2 hammer handle pike on small spinner baits and beetle spins with a jighead and twister tail on.

Glad to see the prostaff pages are back up and running. Ive been trying my darndest to time out the crappie spawn on the westshore this year. ive been out 3 times in the boat and dropped a line a few times from shore. Today was the best day sofar got lots of dinky sunfish in the 4" range some crappies in the 6" 1 12" crappie and  a few shiners also sunfish on worms and crappies on fatheads. The water  was in the 44 degree range when i left the lake little after 11am. The crappies will be snappin any day now, even if you dont get big fish its fun to take out newbies i had 2 coworkers with that havent fished alot in there lives and they were just happy to catch fish in general.

Havent been out lately but got out for some night fishing on the saturday the 2nd. Went to the fox river in oshosh to target some Catfish. Started at the 41 bridge and caught a few then headed down by rainbow park and fished the break from shallow to the deep part of the river. When i catfish i typically have my best luck with stink bait but still throw 1 line out with a night crawler, i call this line the variety pack . Well low and behold i added a new species to the variety pack STURGEON i know you cant target them but i didnt it faught the fish to the boat got a measurement and released it. it was my biggest fish of my life 68" long Wow. Now i know what those people all go sturgeon fishing on the wisconsin river for what a blast. ended the night with 4 keeper cats and a couple throw backs all channel cats.

Fished Big Cedar lake saturday the 4th the wind was blowing pretty good and made are usual tactics in are usual areas nearly impossible. so instead of finese fishing we threw spinners and swimbaits picked up 3 LM and 1 snake northern. then the wind got the better of us and we were getting frustrated with 2 drifts and no fish so we picked up and went to the other side of the lake where the wind was blocked by the houses and trees. We did not have any expectations on fishing the non-wind blown side of the lake, but we actually did very good lots of bass on 7" ribbontail worms texas rigged a few on spinners and 1 mid 30's pike followed and also a bite off (could of been the same fish). alot better success then anticipated as usuall all fish are still swimming as we are very big into the CPR of bass.

Bass fished Bago today out of oshkosh area. Ran south a ways and hit some rocky shorelines and points got a few LM from 8" to 15" think it was 7 fish total then ran to the 41 bridge to fish the riff raff and culverts pulled a few smallies and few more LM only fish came from around culverts biggest fish was a  17.5" smallmouth most fish came on tubejigs with a few on texas rigged worms.

Went out catfishing yesterday. Took my fiance who has never fished (i tried taking a few times but weather never cooperated) we caught a couple 5 pounders and some smallers ones a sheephead a LM Bass and a perch. surprisingly i didnt catch a single carp (first time) We were fishing the fox river off of lake Puckaway.

Went Bass fishing on Big Cedar yesteday for a little while in the morning. We got on the bass 1st cast on tubes it lasted about an hour then died off as soon as sun hit the water. Never really got back on them had some here and some there we caught over 10 for the day with are biggest ever out of this lake hitting the board at 18.5"

Late report but a positive one atleast.  Went out on saturday the 17th Bass fishin on Big Cedar Lake. It was a pretty successful morning we boated over 20 bass and i had 6 over 14 with the biggest being a fat 16+ not a huge bass but still a nice fighter. i probably wont be able to make it out for about another 2 weeks so hopefully it stops raining and the walleye bite turns back on.

Went out catfishing lastnight off of lake puckaway as usual.  I launched at RIVERSEND RESORT, went to my usual 3 spots and wound up with 32 cats worth keeping and a handful of throwbacks. I would like to send a big shout out to Rod at the resort for hooking me up with a battery charger at 3:30 A.M.  because i left my headlights on in the truck.  I dont know of another baitshop/resort owner that would do that for you.

Battled the wind and the waves today with a buddy from work who hasnt fished in over 8 years!!!  It was deffinately a tough bite we only had a sheep to our name when i decided it was time to pick up and move for calmer water.  Best decision i made today hit a big bay north of blackwolf about 3 miles or so set up trollin in 14-15 fow wound up with 3 eyes best one a nice 20".  hammered red blade produced most fish with 1 eye on a hammered copper or brass blade smaller blades have been my goto thing so far this year i think there like a size 3 or 4 colorado blade. Nothing doing on #6's yet maybe its to early for them yet.

Trolled today out of oshkosh again caught 9 walleye, 2 sauger, 1 catfish, 1 crappie, and multiple sheep and whites.  We were pulling harness' again best performing blade was a cracked ice chartreuse and white REVOLUTION blade from the clearance bin at fleet .  All fish came in 18-19 FOW tried shallower and didnt even really mark anything.   We ran 1 ounce inline (fish shaped) weights ranging from 25 -55 ft back at 1.3 to 1.5 M.P.H.  best depth range was 35-45 ft back.

Trolled today out of oshkosh.  we pulled cranks at 1.5mph and caught 4 keeper eyes threw back 6 shories and a few whites and goats. best colors were red for first hour and half then purple was best we fished 15-18fow 1 ounce weight 25-40 ft back went lower and got the goats.

Well i was having some issues with my prostaff page lately so i missed on a few updates since my last report i havent been on bago but have hit some other lakes. I hit Big Cedar lake 2 weeks ago and we caught about 20 Largemouth with 9 being legals the biggest was 17" most were caught on a texas rigged gulp natural 6" worm a couple on some other rigs but gulp was the best byfar.  The majority of fish were pulled out of the 6 to 10 FOW with weeds.  This Saturday for fathers day i took my dad fishing on Lake Puckaway because my family was camping there. my dad had gone fishing in the morning and hadnt had a bite. (he was pretty bummed) so when i got there i told him i had a few "honey holes" up the river and said i'd take him up to one. I said were just gonna catfish cause its simple and relaxing. I set up all are rods with my gear put out a few crawlers and some stink bait.  I caught the first cat and then it was pretty much back and forth but i caught most of the cats he was having fun just catching some small sheeps and a carp. When all of a sudden 1 rod went down and the drag started screaming so he took the rod out of the rod holder and faught a 25 lb carp on 6 lb test for about 20 minutes until we got it landed.  Im sure some of you are saying "big deal its a carp" but seeing the look on my fathers face was priceless he was like a kid in a candy store.  Going fishing with me for the first time in over 10 years and having a great time catching fish that faught like heck made his weekend.  Axl always says take a kid fishing well id like to add to that for all you kids out there that fish take your father fishing.  well ill be back on bago hopefully thursday and saturday so ill post my results when i get done cleaning the fish .

Trolled today out of Blackwolf hit a few of my waypoints and got on a few slab crappies over 11" had 1 18" eye a few shorts plus about 35 whitebass or so and the usual ton o goats.  Tried using a few odd cranks i usually dont try was running a shallow x-rap and a x-rap shad rap both were pretty popular with the white bass. 85% of fish came on blue and white. Fish were being caught anywhere from 6 fow to 15fow. Fish would slam the lures and pull the boards back then the boards would come back up with the flag just hanging at 1/2 mast Tattle Flags on the Offshores were a MUST today.

Fished Lake Winnebago today out of blackwolf trolled an area around long point only goats.  Was moving south around the islands and saw fish boiling on top of the water went to go and look... CARP  literally hundreds of them im guessing they were spawning someone needs to grab a bow and go get them some with this clear water it would be easy and there were some torpedo lenght ones in there.  Continued back to where i was headed went south of the islands north of the wayside and tried trolling next to and above some weeds found a few whities and some more goats no eyes for me.  I'll be back out there saturday afternoon hopefully we can get some rain to stir up this water alittle bit walleye fishing in Gin Clear water just aint working.

Fished today on Big Cedar Lake from 6:30 till 1:00 Caught lots of Rock bass and about a dozen Largemouth Bass. Most fish came on tubes but a few on BooYah spinners. Had a couple mid 20's pike follow a swimbait but no commitments. All in all a very productive day of fishin with my brother.

Had a pretty successful night last night I gave Winnebago a break with the relatively lousy fishing lately and i went out to Lake Puckaway.  I went up the Fox River towards Montello. We went about 3 miles up river and fished for Catfish.  Within 5 minutes we had the first fish on and though out the next 6 hours we moved twice and had a couple doubles with a total of 27 Cats. The biggest Catfish was 9lbs 6 oz.. To anybody thats never tried fishing for these fish its a fairly simple method and they put up one heck of a fight especially if your using lighter tackle.  Till next time this is Jammer and IM OUT.

fished today from 7am till 2pm started in the blackwolf channel looking for some panfish but no takers. Pulled out the Offshore Boards and Okuma Trolling rods and made a path from long point island towards Brothertown all we found were 3 white bass but they were pretty big in size biggest was 16 3/4".     Till next time this is Jammer and IM OUT......
